感恩节(英文名:Thanksgiving Day),是美国和加拿大腔滚特有而且很隆重的一个节日。时间:美国神知是在每年11月的第四个星期四;加拿大是在每年10月的第2个星期一。最先由美国创立,原意是为感谢上天赐予的好收成而举行,并邀请了当初移民美洲大陆时曾帮助过他们的当地印第安人参加的庆祝活动。美国和加拿大在此节上都经过了多个时期的发展,时间也有多次变更,最后才统一确定为11月的第4个星期四。在风俗习惯上2国基本一致,食俗有:吃烤火鸡、南瓜饼红莓苔子果酱、甜山芋、玉蜀黍;活动有:玩蔓越桔竞赛、玉米游戏、南瓜赛跑;举行化装游行、戏剧表游圆消演或体育比赛等集体活动......并有相应的假期2天,在远方的人们都会回家与亲人团聚。现在还形成了豁免火鸡、黑色星期五购物等习惯。现有人建议中国也确立一个感恩节。
